The success of Claremont Primary School is dependent on our great relationships with our parents/carers and our involvement in our local community.
It’s really important for us to work together with all parents and carers to make sure they are happy with the education we provide for their children, and to make sure we’re aware of any issues that might affect their child.
We hold regular Parents Forums which take place upstairs in the old school building. We also hold regular workshops for parents and carers, which focus on specific areas of learning, and produce a parents’ survey every year. All parents/carers welcome.
Our website, newsletters and tweets are another valuable resource to our parents/carers and include information about the curriculum, our inspection reports and school policies, as well as news and upcoming events.
The next Parents Forum Meetings will be:
Monday 6 November at 9 am.
Wednesday 8th November at 9 am.
Monday 13th November at 9 am.
Wednesday 15th November at 9 am.
Please click on the links below for meetings of previous minutes and other information.
All parents and carers are welcome to join us on 20th October 2017, 9am - 11.00 am, for the Under One Roof event, where the topic will be recycling. Refreshments will be provided.
We recently sent out a parents questionnaire so that we could receive feedback from parents to help us make Claremont even better. We only received 39 completed questionnaire back from parents, so we will be sending this out again at the start of the new academic year.

This week was the Rhyme time challenge. Parents made puppets to take home and use with their children whilst singing the rhymes. Have a look at the video clip to see how they got on.

Rhyme Time Challenge where parents made props to sing rhymes at home with their children
Claremont hosted the recent Under One Roof event in Manchester. This is where voluntary and community sector organisations get together and help raise awareness to families and the community about the range of services available to children and young people - particularly in Central Manchester.
Ten of our parents have been working hard since Christmas on the Digital skills course run by Manchester Adult Education Service. They have been learning some really useful ICT skills such as word processing, file management, formatting and internet research. At the end of the course the parents were presented with a certificate by their tutor and had a party to celebrate their success. Well done! Keep an eye on the noticeboards for up coming courses for parents.
City Lifestyle has been working with 20 of our families cooking healthy meals for the past 4 weeks. The mums, dads and children taking part are finding out about healthy food and nutrition and have made fruit salad, pasta sauce with spaghetti, turkey burgers and vegetable tortillas so far. As you can see from the photos the groups are having a lot of fun and the food looks and smells delicious!
